From humidity to diversity

A few words to summarize my last few days here:

Humidity.
It is so hot. A few days back it rained but I felt nothing since the raindrops kind of dry in the air. Apparently this is "nothing" as summer has just begun.

For those of you who thought this is Baltimore - it is not. But just as hot. I am still waiting to spot the big five downtown.

Phonecalls. To approximately 37 different landlords about housing. My cheap smartphone is working hard.

Questions. Some people ask if the places are cat/dog-friendly. I ask if it is Gustav-friendly.
Could this guy please stay in my room...?

Patience. Still house hunting...

One of all the apartments I've been to see. This one would cost me half my Fulbright grant. Keep on dreaming.

Rabbits. Midsommar burlesque show "Sticky buns" was awesome. I got to see rabbits, sharks, spiders and lots of other animals undress.

School start. We had introduction for international student on Friday. I wore a dress with flowers on in honor of Midsommar. We had thai food, were told our classmates are gonna be the smartest in the world and that it is impossible to study hard enough.

We were asked why we chose to enroll in the MPH program. What do you think I answered?

Diversity. We have more then 20 different countries represented in the class. I am the only Swede. This is going to be one exiting year.
School of Public Health
Johns Hopkins Hospital

I have to pinch myself in the arm to realize I am... here! Now off to house hunting again so that I can actually stay.

This year I've decided to try something new for Midsummer (coming up Friday June 24th). Let's go Burlesque!
